F&P Benefit Payments

The F&P provides periodically paid service, disability, termination and death benefits for its retired members and eligible beneficiaries.

Retirement Benefit Payment Cycle

The F&P pays retirement benefits on a bi-weekly basis, that is every two weeks. A schedule of benefit payment dates can be found by clicking on this link: Benefit Payment Dates.

Direct Deposit

Direct deposit is available upon request. Direct deposit delivers your F&P benefit into the account of your designated financial institution. Funds are available for withdrawal on the benefit payment date. However, if you do not have direct deposit, you may not receive your benefit on the benefit payment date. The F&P strongly encourages all retired members and beneficiaries to receive their bi-weekly benefits by direct deposit. Upon receipt of the direct deposit form, it could take up to two bi-weekly payments for the direct deposit to be effective.

Benefit Check Not Received

If a retired member or beneficiary does not receive his or her benefit check within one week after the benefit payment date, the retired member or beneficiary should call the F&P Accounting Section at 410-497-7929 Option 2 to report the missing check. A stop payment request will be issued. A replacement check will be mailed to the F&P retired member or beneficiary. This process could take up to three weeks.

Benefit Check Misplaced or Lost

If a retired member or beneficiary misplaces or loses a benefit check, the retired member or beneficiary should call the F&P Accounting Section at 410-497-7929 Option 2 to report the misplaced or lost check. A stop payment request will be issued. A replacement check will be mailed to the F&P retired member or beneficiary. This process could take up to three weeks.
